The port is connected with the hinterland by a asphalt road of adequate width and
good riding surface.
All weather port is connected with Porbandar Town and coastal highway by paver
finished asphalt road length 5 KM and 7 M width two lane road.
Porbandar is well connected with National and Coastal Highway network. The
distances to adjoining towns & ports of the area is as follows:
Mumbai 940 KMS, Ahmedabad 425 KMS, Jamnagar 120 KMS,
Junagadh 120 KMS, Bhavnagar 325 KMS, Okha 140 KMS,
Veraval 125 KMS, Rajkot 180 KMS. RAIL CONNECTION

The harbour is well protected by a 2625 Mtr. long breakwater extending from shore
up to depth of 12.80 Mtr.
PORBANDAR LIGHT HOUSE:
Latitude : 21o 37’.33 N
Longitude : 69o 37’.17 E
A flashing light is also exhibited at the breakwater end.
CURRENT
Tidal current in the harbour is of a negligible strength, not exceeding 1/2 knot.
FREE PRATIQUE
Issued by the Port Health Officer, Porbandar. But in case vessel is coming from
yellow fever area and jigger infections ports within 30 days then by Port Health
Officer, Kandla.
MONSOON
15th May to 15th September, there is no lighterage work.
