Shoft today is an ISO 9001 -2008 Certified shipyard, Commenced operations in 1987 as a Ship & outfit contracting and Mfg. Co.
For nearly 20 years Shoft was engaged in multiple shipbuilding projects as Turnkey contractors, working simultaneously at different shipyards. In 2004 Diversified in to own shipbuilding with a well equipped medium sized shipyard and have built and delivered 40 vessels till date. Recently it has been awarded the license for construction of warships by Ministry of commerce & industry, Govt. of India., Presently, Shoft’s focus is to develop and modernize its shipyard at Bharuch for building sophisticated vessels incorporating more efficient production facilities, to effect speedier deliveries for the Commercial & Defence sector.
Shoft's strength is a highly competent core team of experienced Naval architects, Engineers, technical supervisors and committed work force, specializing in different facets of shipbuilding - Hull Construction, Engineering & Electrical Outfits, systems integration, etc.
Waterfront
The length of Waterfront on South Yard - 540 meters.
Slipways
a) 18 M. wide Slipway – suitable for vessels up to 70 m. long
b) 22 M. wide Slipway – suitable for vessels up to 120 m. long
c) 36 M. wide Slipway – suitable for vessels up to 150 m. long
