Road and Rail Network

Dahej is connected to Bharuch (distance 45Km) and Vadodara (108 Km) by four lane road. The nearest railway station is at Bharuch by broad gauge line. The implementation of project is under progress for providing broad gauge railway line from Bharuch to Dahej under SPV of RVNL, GoG and other port users. The estimates cost of the project is 285 crores. The nearest airport is Vadodara, which is connected with Mumbai and Delhi.

Facilities/Equipment

  • Tugs, launches, barges & cranes are available from the private parties at Old Dahej Port. The captive jetties are fitted with cargo handling equipment.

Transit sheds: 4 Nos. (1,690 Sq.m.)
Platform for storage: 5 Nos. (10,000 Sq.m). and 2No. (21,300 Sq.m.) at Kutch

Old port

The old GMB jetty of 100 m in length has been upgraded by M/S Welspun Company Ltd.
A land lease and possession agreement is executed between Gujarat Maritime Board and M/S. Sanghi industries Ltd. for setting up of silos for storage of cement and other related activities as packaging plant etc. Total 6000 Sq.m. of backup land is allotted to M/S Sanghi Industries Ltd.

Supplies

Water is supplied to ships by private water barges. The port is supplied with electricity from the 66 KVA station of Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (DGVCL) at Dahej.
