Bedi Port is an all-weather tidal lighterage facility located on the southern coast of the Gulf of Kutch. 395 nautical miles north-west of Mumbai, 35 nautical miles south of Kandla and 50 nautical miles east of Okha Port. It is classified as an intermediate port.
A captive jetty for GSFC liquid cargo is in operation. There is facility of discharging import cargo like Liquid Ammonia and Phosphoric Acid through pipeline. It is meant for berthing/de-berthing of ships by day tide only and it is compulsory to have port pilot for piloting the ship to inward and outward. The GSFC Jetty is at present accommodating vessel up to 8m draught and 165m LOA and vessels of larger length and draught can also be accommodated on a case-to-case basis. At Sikka, M/s. Reliance Petroleum Ltd. has constructed an Oil Refinery. They have developed port facilities by constructing Ro-Ro & Lo-Lo Jetties for the purpose of handling various project cargo required for the same. They have also created facilities for Crude Oil they have created total 5- SPM. They have also constructed 4-Tanker Berths having direct berthing facilities for their captive use. Shree Digvijay Cement Co. is handled cement/clinker/coal vessels from their own captive berth at Sikka. The salt vessels of Singach salt works are handled through their captive wharf located at Singach.
Salaya is sub port of Bedi Group of Ports. There is traffic of almost of sailing vessels only. The ship building industries for sailing vessel are the major activity at Salaya port.
Jodiya is a sub port of Bedi Group of ports. Previously, it was famous for foreign trade of country crafts.
Sachana is a ship recycling yard, total 15 nos. of plots are developed by GMB with required basic facilities.
