JOB OBJECTIVE
Responsible for respective engineering matters relating to development, contracting, and
procurement, for projects identified by GPLCL
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
- Prepare tenders, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs); issue notices
inviting tenders; respond to pre-bid queries; and produce corrigendum/addendum and bid evaluations,
contracts, PPP concessions
- Assist the procurement committee and senior management in evaluating proposals
- Onboard vendors, suppliers, and contractors in accordance with GPLCL's guidelines
- Identify and coordinate with agencies for the development of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for
identified projects
- Coordinate with the Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical departments on all engineering designs and
drawings related to civil, electrical, and mechanical aspects for projects identified by GPLCL, for tender
preparation, EOI/proposal evaluation, DPR, and feasibility report preparation, contracts and PPP
concession preparation
- Coordinate with the COO & Business Development (Director) and prepare service contracts
according to customer requirements for attracting investments in the projects to be implemented
by GPLCL
- Ensure project execution adheres to the guidelines set by State and Central Government authorities
- Manage post-award contracts and monitor them periodically
- Provide updates to senior management and high authorities on contract progress.
- Contribute to budget preparation as directed by top management
- Maintain comprehensive records of data and documents related to projects
- Provide detailed updates to higher authorities and senior management on contract implementation
progress, including explanations for any delays
- Develop and update various progress reports as directed by senior management.
- Contribute to budget preparation based on the directions of higher authorities
- Scrutinize and submit bills and vouchers related to project expenditures
- Manage all staff-related administrative responsibilities within your jurisdiction, including attendance,
leave, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions
- Estimate future manpower requirements for project implementation

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors in Commerce / Management / Engineering in Civil/Electrical/
Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
- Masters degree or its equivalent is preferred
- Understanding of legal will be added advantage
- At least 6 years of Experience in Contract management especially in
logistics infrastructure projects such as ports, railways, logistics parks,
Inland container depots (ICDs) and container freight stations (CFSs) from
infrastructure standpoint
- Experience in project appraisals and procurement is preferred
