Position	Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Employment	Contractual employment for a period of 3 years, (based on performance it may be extended up to 5 years)
Remuneration	Commensurate with experience and qualification and will be at par with the industry standards
Age Criteria	Not more than 55 years
Experience	20 years or more in Maritime / Infrastructure sector. Out of which minimum 5 years’ experience should be in maritime sector. Candidate with 3+ years of experience with an entity having annual turnover of not less than Rs. 1000 crores will be preferred.
Qualification	Management/ Engineering Degree (full-time), preference may be given to person having formal qualification in maritime sector or its related infrastructure activities

Job Description

The prime responsibility of the candidate will be to implement and manage Gujarat Maritime Cluster project and to set up and manage Gujarat International Maritime Arbitration Center.
The candidate will be pivotal in laying the foundation of the organization and will report directly to the Chairperson and Managing Director of Gujarat Ports Infrastructure and Development Company Limited.
The role involves implementing strategy, as per the direction of the high-level committee / Government of Gujarat, of the GMC project and aligning it with the goals and objectives of the project.
To market the cluster and create an eco-system to attract local and international players to be part of the cluster.
To achieve the objectives of the organization and create a short term and long term workplan.
To act as maritime shipping expert and provide vital expert strategic advice to all internal and external stakeholders from maritime and shipping industry.
To formulate policies for providing single window facilities to the members of the cluster and other stakeholders.
To hold industry level seminars, conferences, interactive sessions and skill development programmes for the benefits of cluster members.
To manage and operate the GMC and the Arbitration center in a professional manner as corporate profit center.

Competencies Required

Candidates must have the proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships and possess knowledge of maritime field including shipping, ports, chartering, agency, finance, liner, freight forwarding or similar maritime sectors.
Possess solid leadership skills and be a champion of a positive, cooperative, team-oriented approach with a record of creative problem-solving skills and out- of-the-box thinking with respect to complex issues.
Excellent Communication & Presentation skills
Excellent Computer Skills including Microsoft office.
